Design and Execution to Translate R&D into Business Value
In the R&D domain, realizing the full potential of technology as a viable business requires a well-structured and rigorously designed commercialization process.
Through hands-on experience across institutional design, business development, investment, and R&D project management, I have developed a perspective that bridges on-the-ground realities and structural frameworks.
Building on this foundation, I design and lead end-to-end commercialization processes, working within multi-stakeholder environments to drive optimal outcomes.
Background
I hold a Master’s degree in Bioengineering from the University of Yamanashi, where I worked on the application and analysis of microbial antagonistic interactions.
My early career includes experience in institutional design and industrial implementation through my work with the Japan GAP Association, followed by hands-on business operations in the agricultural distribution sector, where I managed corporate sales, procurement, and multi-stakeholder coordination.
I later founded my own business, taking full responsibility for contracts, financing, and human resources, and gained practical experience in building and operating a business from the ground up.
At Japan Investment Adviser Co., Ltd. , I worked as a Senior Associate in the private equity division, supporting portfolio companies through hands-on involvement in business structuring and execution.
I further developed my experience in R&D environments at Shinshu University, where I supported medical device development and managed multi-institutional research projects.
At a tax accounting firm, I gained hands-on experience in accounting and taxation, while also working on process design and operational efficiency. This experience strengthened my foundation in disciplined, principle-based business practices.
Currently, I work as a New Business Coordinator at a medical device company, leading project operations across academia and industry, including grant application, management, and reporting.
